Interstate 80 Traffic
Interstate 80 traffic is constantly targeted near Battle Mountain, especially on the east side. I have yet to find out where they could be hiding because there’s no cover!!! Yet, none the less, I see someone pulled over everytime I drive through there. Isn’t the gold mine paying enough to that county?

This area they use aircraft..... Has nothing to do with the gold mines in the area.
I got ticket for doing 80, yes 80 MPH, in 75 mph zone on freeway just East of Battle Mountain...AND for passing the cruiser (who was in fast lane doing 78 or 79 mph) when he put on his brakes... ticket cost-$50 bail+other fees = $112, or $85 in gas (at $3.65/gal) plus 8 hour round trip driving from Reno IF wanted to defend the bogus ticket. When calling court clerk they said would remove insurance points but pay the $112. Good racket from small town America.
I've never seen so many cars pulled over by highway patrol as when I was driving along I-80. Looks like almost none of them have Nevada plates.
