Arkansas State Police hide on the "other" side of an overpass embankment. As you drive under the overpass, he’s got you. Received an 84 in a 55…cost me $125. If you do get a Hazen ticket, call the number and let them know you were wearing your seat belt, and they’ll knock $10 off the ticket. Small change, considering, but it helps.

Comments:
Hazen has a bad name for speed trap......Thanks to the present Mayor, who was quoted in the local paper Grand Prairie Herald....."Write tickets Patroleman we need revenue...if you don't do I will hire someone who will.

Hazen AR has a bad name period. The Mayor has even hired a felon to work for police department. She is on probation for stealing 51,000 from a Little Rock church. Mayor ignores the felony because she is the singer in his band which also includes Hazen Public Works director and a Hazen patrolman. You really do not want to get on the wrong of the cops there.

Even though the actual town of Hazen is two and a half miles off the freeway Hazen has annexed a quarter mile wide strip along the freeway. Beware of city cops even on the freeway, you are in their jurisdiction too.
