Janes avenue near 83rd Street

Woodridge cops will ticket you even if you are in Bolingbrook (anywhere south of 83rd Street on Janes). They think a lot of people don’t know the area- many are not from the area and are going to IKEA. I’ve seen Woodridge cops pull people over in Bolingbrook MANY times. I am sure the drivers think they are in Woodridge. If you get pulled over on Janes Avenue and you are south of 83rd Street, fight the ticket. You will win because the cop is not in his jurisdiction. I am sure they will deny this vehemently but I have personally witnessed this on numerous occasions becasuse I live in that area and am on Janes Avenue all the time.

Comments:
Just because an individual is stopped outside of jurisdiction doesn't mean the offense was not commited within the respected villages jurisdiction. you can go outside the village limits to effect a stop on a traffic offense. Sometimes it takes a minute to catch up to the offender.
