Just Past 1st 50 MPH Sign
First ticket of any kind in 42 years of driving. Just received it as I was slowing from 65 to 50. The cop was within a few hundred feet of the first 50 MPH sign and caught me as I slowed to 62. But, the ticket is 70 mph in a 50 which is about $265 fine. Being from out of state, I have no way to contest it and, as the clerk just told me, it’s my tough luck. Avoid LA 165 if at all possible and stick to I-10.
