Kirby Road near US Highway Sam Houston Tollway
This newly opened, 4-lane road between the Tollway feeder road @ 50mph and McHard Road @ 60mph is posted at only 35 mph… well below what you might expect for this open stretch of divided road. A motorcycle officer is often hidden in the trees just beyond your view.

The speed limit was raised due to an increase in complaints from folks who leave too late for work. Guess what, the speed of vehicles now traveling on that road has increased. Now they go 60mph instead of 50 like in the past. With new businesses being built there, I forsee future accidents.
