Lockwood Road and Ekana Drive, S of Mitchell Hammock
Oviedo PD likes to sit tucked behind the wall of Ekana Drive off of Lockwood Road, waiting for motorists to exceed the ridiculously low 35 MPH speed limit. Many motorists are fooled by the 4 lane alternative to Alafaya Trail but watch out. Typically they work as a tag team, with one officer serving as radar operator and the other ready to speed after you in his cruiser. Rarely will an Oviedo officer give you a warning so be ready to pay the fine.
