Main Street near Parker/Dransfeld Road
A four-lane split median high traffic thoroughfare, Main Street is posted 40 from Jordan Rd to Dransfeld Rd, then drops to 25 in the 1/4 mile between Dransfeld and Parker Rd. A small sign notes "Safety Zone" on the 25 MPH post EB immediately across the Dransfeld (40 zone)intersection and both can be missed, particularly when moving; 5 mph above the limit is costly. Parker PD parks in the commercial areas on both sides of Main. Safety zones double the fine and Parker has the "Victim Fund" racket as an additional revenue raiser–1/3 of the fine.
