Main Street near State Route 79

Freehold, New JerseyAug 27, 20081 Comments

In the morning coming into town from rt.33, the police car sits in the driveway on the right where the trolley tracks are. In general main street of Freehold is VERY policed. DONT EVER DO OVER 25 MPH in town and DONT EVER talk on your phone. They even have police on foot that wear yellow shirts and you would not think they are police and they will walk right up to your car and pull you over. I don’t mess with Main Street in Freehold.

Comments:
There are no trolley tracks in Freehold.(Unfortunately!) -Perhaps train tracks is what's meant here? Anyhow, in Freehold Boro the police will pull people over where Main intersects with Rt 79 (by the Plaza), and they issue tickets to people who do not have up-to-date inspection stickers, who are not wearing their seat belts, and who are talking on their cell phones while driving... (And I say good to that last one, because I live in this town!) Tickets are also definitely issued to people who speed thru town, and also to those who block intersections at stoplights... Drive safely and considerately thru Freehold Boro though, and you'll be just fine!
