Martin Luther king east of Xenia

Stapleton complained about speeding so the city lowered the speed limit based on "design speed" or sight distance or something. And there’s a safety zone.

Comments:
Contacted city council and city traffic engineer about this poorly designed section of road. Neither seem interested in fixing it because of all the money it brings in. Traffic flows around 40-45 and the traffic engineer told me that he'd be sure to contact the local police to step up enforcement. I think he was trying to be snarky. I've worked out at the rec center and lost count at the number of cars I saw a motorcycle cop pull over on the eastbound side past the bridge. Even the cops, when not running radar, go this speed. Way to set an example.

This trap disgusts me. Today there was yet another motorcycle cop in the process of pulling someone over. The average speed here is at least 40 MPH and the city has deliberately endangered people by placing those crosswalks in such a poor location. It was an obvious attempt by the city to justify lowering the speed limit so they could profit from it. I'd contact my councilman, but doesn't appear as though he's interested in ensuring public safety, he's just another local politician that values the dollars of others above all else.
