Michigan Avenue near Grand River Road
Michigan Avenue, south of M-59 and north of Grand River, as well as all of the little residential streets around it, are awful. The Howell City Police make their rounds through there, and will get you for absolutely anything, be it speeding or something as trivial as defective equipment or no seatbelt. Speed limit is an understandable 35 and 25 because it is extremely residential, but if traffic is light you may find yourself unintentionally speeding, so watch out. Lots of the residential streets coming off of Michigan Ave. are shrouded by bushes or houses – you won’t see the cop till it’s too late.
