Coming from Lockwood Boulevard and heading west toward Alafaya Trail, Oviedo PD likes to set up a speed trap near the entrance of Smoker’s Express near the intersection of Mitchell Hammock and Alafaya Trail. They are hard to see because they sit at the bottom of the hill and you don’t know they are there until you start going down the hill. Also, they like to set their Cherokees along the chain link fence coming from Alafaya Trail and heading towawrd Lockwood Boulevard. The speed limit was a ridiculous 40mph back when I was caught and I was doing 50mph. It is now 45mph but still marked “strictly enforced.””
