"Mobile Speedtrap Unmarked Van now in Use"

If you’re on Hwy 51 North or South of Millington and see a white van parked on the side of the road.. be going 5mph less than the speed limit when you pass it. It’s one of those "Automated Traps". It takes your picture and sends a ticket thru the mail to the registered driver. It’s a white van/SUV with a distinguishing feature (spotlight on a mounting that’s mounted on the rear of the driver’s side of the vehicle.. it’s the flash for taking pictures at night). It has a tennessee Govt Service Plate. There is a cop inside the car in the driver’s seat, but he won’t chase you down.. just send you a ticket in the mail. It moves constantly, so I can’t give you an exact location, but since it’s run by the Millington Police.. it must stay within the city’s limit.

The white SUV that I have seen in the last two weeks actually has an Arizona license plate. The location that I normally see it at is on Highway 51 north of Millington parked close to Building Material Supply, a company that I FORMERLY did business with, either on the Southbound or Northbound sides.
