I just got tagged there today. I have read the most recent 3 or 4 entries and 62 – 63 mph seems to be the game plan. I had slowed before the 50mph sign to 57 or 58, yet the ticket was written for 62. Most tickets increase in price considerably after 10mph over the limit. A town of 800, including cats and dogs, and they have heavy duty illegally window tinted SUV’s and know that 99.9% of the people they stop, Texans, will not fight the ticket. If I had time I would spend a grand to fight it and make sure they showed that this “Chief” has the proper training and produced all the certifications for the radar gun and not sure how it could be done but make the “Chief” actually show the exact speed of a vehicle the second it passes the 50mph sign. I definitely do speed and have had 3 tickets in 49 years of driving, but getting rob by a crooked nobody town cop is something that “riles” me.
