On E. Southcross Blvd. between Pecan Valley and Pecan Grove

San Antonio, TexasFeb 23, 20111 Comments

This is an appropriate location for a speed trap, but heading West the speed limit changes at the Pecan Valley Golf course bridge from 40 mph to 30 mph, but heading East, the speed limit changes at Pecan Grove from 30 mph to 40 mph. It’s very hard to observe these changes if one does not frequent this location. If anything, the speed limit should be regulated to an equal 30 mph speed limit on East Southcross Blvd., from Pecan Valley to W.W. White Rd. This section consists of multifamily housing, apartments, hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and many other commercial business, but most important, schools. Let’s keep it equally controlled – and slow it down for the sake of young citizens.

Comments:
Better to make it a uniform 40 mph. However, if the limit changes, odds are there's a fair reason that it changes. Keep it the way it is, maybe, but improve the signage. I guess that the speed limit just hasn't kept up with development. It's just a guess.
