Orleans St. Street near North St. Street
The school zone on Orleans St. (North St. area of Orleans …on the east side of I-5) This is a revenue trap ONLY school zone. The school it supposedly serves is located completely across the freeway from this "zone"! In 40 or so years of traveling this street, I have NEVER seen a child walking around in the area during school hours and have only seen about TWO kids – literally – two kids in that area in the summertime when school wasn’t even in session! Yet one can count on seeing motor officers there very regularly during school hours when the 20MPH speed sign is flashing. It IS a revenue trap only. There’s just no other logical reason for it to be there.
