Bellingham, Washington Speed Traps
Southbound on I-5 just before the North Samish on ramp to I-5.
When you are driving southbound on I-5 just before the on ramp to I-5 from North Samish way. There is quite a bend in the road from left to right. The state patrol sits in the gore point waiting for the next speeder coming down the hill. Whatever the reason they seem to think the stretch from where speed goes down to 60 just north of the South Samish way exit to Fairhaven exit as you enter Bellingham is a place to do enforcement.
Billy Frank Jr from E. Laurel St down to E. Chestnut
Because Billy Frank Jr is downhill, police including WWU Police like to hide by the fire station or the apartment complex that has a fairly big parking lot near where Chestnut St is. Keep an eye on the fire station for police vehicles and also parking openings to nearby residences.
Mount Baker Highway/Sunset & McLeod Rd
Divers traveling Westbound on Mount Baker Highway get caught at Mcleod Rd. where the speed limit drops from 55 to 35 in about 1/4 mile. State troopers sit in a vacant lot on the North side of the road.
1781 North Shore Drive
Sheriff parks in the driveway near the Moceri Construction sign. Usually there in the mornings.
N.B. I-5 just south of exit 250
Cruisers are often seen with a radar just south of this location, and several more waiting either on or just past the N.B. on ramp at Exit 250 to pull over the speeders. Having lived here for 20+ years, you tend to notice these things!
