Palos Verdes Boulevard near Atherton Street
This stretch of Palos Verdes is between the Woodruff Exit from the 405 and California State University, Long Beach.
The speed limit is 40 mph and CHP sit in wait in the residential side streets in both directions, hoping to snag college students who are late for class. DO NOT go one tiny bit over 40 mph, or you’re ticket-bait. Clue as to how frequent the speed trap is: there are two donut shops at the one intersection.
