PCH just south of Malibu Canyon on the long downhill with the mall on your right
This Malibu sheriff favorite happens as you are coming southbound on PCH. Typically you’ve been on PCH/HWY 1 for awhile at 60MPH+ and the speed limit drops quickly from I believe 50-55MPH to 35 or 40MPH as you enter town. To make matters worse the town starts right in the middle of a long downhill stretch where it is easy to have picked up even more speed than you probably already had. The sheriff sit on the hill halfway down or at the bottom with radar just waiting for you. Also this stretch all the way to Topanga is a very common area for the sheriffs to patrol using mobile radar ready to get you as the speed limits vary up and down.
