Puaba, heading towards Ynez.
As you head on Ynez and pass Margarita you come accross a steep 10-12% grade downhill. There will be about a 60-75% chance(during normal work hours 8-5) that there will be 1 – 3 motorcycle officers waiting at the very bottom of that grade hiding on the left hand side behind a bunch of bushes. If you see them its already too late. They can nail you quite easily even when you cannot see them since they peek up a bit over the bush and nail you with the gun. They use K and Ka bands from what I can tell and I have stopped my car to watch them. They usually only need to be clocking the road for only a minute to catch their next victim and they have no tolerance. When I first got nailed they gave me a ticket for 7 mph of the speed limit. The speed limit is 40 mph and can easily be 60 since its 2 lanes on each side(very wide two lanes) and very little traffic. I recommend slowing down on this stretch and be in the right hand lane with your radar detector for early detection. BE CAREFUL AND WATCH OUT FOR A CHANGE UP! The officers can easily switch sides on the road and catch ya with your guard down. This is a classic speed trap and the downward motion will cause you to accelerate about 10-15 miles over the speed limit unless you ride your brakes the whole way down.
