Root River Parkway

This speed trap is a tricky one. The main officer sits in his squad car in the Root River Parkway near picnic area 3 and 4 on the connecting bridge. He will clock speeders eastbound and westbound through the park near the Red Roof Inn motel. I always see guys stopped on the side of the road in this area near the bathrooms more than likely unsuspecting victims of this speed trap. This cop is always there during third shift hours.

Comments:
Fictional posting. There is no Red Roof Inn anywhere in Greendale. There are no businesses of any kind within or even near the parkway. There are no bathrooms at the side of the roadway, only at parking lots well off the road. The lots are closed and locked after dark. Speed enforcement is rare on the parkway except more common during dayligt hours in the summer. I drive the parkway from S.76th St to 92nd street twice a day, almost every day for the past 5 years. The cops and Sheriff units are definitely present, and the speed limit is the typically stupid 25mph, but no evidence it's a particular popular enforcement spot.
