Route 70, westbound access to Betsy Ross Bridge

Camden, New JerseyAug 23, 20021 Comments

Speed limits are enforced by using radar, especially on weekends and end of the month (i.e., when you receive your paycheck!). Usually police are not in area during rush hour traffic. If your car has an out-of-state (or out of area= NJ, PA, DE) plate, be particularly aware. Police give the ticket in the hope that you will not fight it; if you are, say, from North Carolina or Florida, chances are you will not come back to court to fight the ticket. If you drive a rental with out-of-state plates, be also aware. After a ticet is issued, you will have to wait 3 months for a scheduled court appearance.

Comments:
The proper route number is 90, not 70. It is the access highway from Pennsauken, not Camden. It is definitely highly patrolled by the DRPA police.
