Speed Trap and Mobile Handheld Revenue Generator

The police are not only pulling people over for tickets, if you are not speeding they look to see if you are touching your handheld phone. Apparently. the City of Greenwood needs revenue so bad that if you so much as touch your cell phone the police will issue a mobile/handheld ticket for $100. I suggest people stop spending money in this town because of the speed traps and revenue focus of this town. Just buy your gas in another town. you don’t even have to make a call or text, simply picking up the phone is enough for them to issue a revenue generator. This is not about safety. I asked the officer to review my call log and or text, but he indicated that simply picking up the phone to move it is enough to issue the ticket.

Comments:
The balance between government power and civil right is a balance. When there are so many "offenders" over so many years for the 20 MPH speed limits in tiny Greenwood City, DE, there must be something wrong with the city governing body of that tiny city. A good government is to help citizens not to make the same mistakes over and over. In this case, Greenwood City government can post larger signs, building speed bumps in sections where the 20 MPH speed is enforced. In contrast, the Greenwood City government hired a few local "policemen" use laser gun and to issue expensive traffic tickets. Let's remember this tiny city: Greenwood, DE. Let's avoid of driving through it and leave it alone.

Should read the law now! It's a $131 fine. But the way the law reads. "Using shall mean in a persons hands". So whether you are making a call, texting, looking at a GPS, or simply holding it in your hand. Look at getting a ticket. Plus I don't think anyone cares about spending money on this town or gas station, because really what's the next gas station in the area? Ha yeah there is none. So unless you wanna run out of gas, you have nothing else to do but stop. But I understand your frustration, but the law is the law. And I expect the Town of Greenwood to uphold the law as they should. Violating everyone who violates it. Even violate me if I am in the wrong. At least I know I'll except responsibility.
