City police frequent this school zone area where the posted limit drops from 35mph to 20mph from 7am to 5pm. You should not be speeding in a school zone anyway. They like to "hide" in the Les Schwab Tire parking lot.

I'm sorry but I'm gonna say it, so if you're from there please don't take any offense as I mean this next comment to illustrate a point and not make a rude remark....but.... The South-Town (Corvallis south of 34) part of Hwy 99 can be one big speed trap in itself. This may be due to the "Small Hic-town, over powered Cop" feeling you get when you drive through. Do yourself a favor and just obey the speed limit (or max 5 over) until you are past the Air port for goodness sakes! Oh, and here's the twister to this whole scenario: ALL of the lights North of Hwy 34 on 3rd street are timed so that if you go 20-22 MPH in the posted 25 MPH zone you will hit all of em sequentially, thereby automatically setting a speed for traffic to follow. (Kinda like the city watching out for the traffic, and the people shopping close by.) NONE if any of the lights South of 34 on (3rd-4th) are timed! They are infrequent and are at the whim of the traffic on the side streets. You might want to ask yourself: Why is this? What is happening here? If you asked me I would say: It's just another way of the rich keeping themselves rich while benefiting off of the mistakes of the poor, stressed, and ignorant (most of which live in south-town). If you want to really stick it too em' just go slow through the entire stretch, and never pay them off! I know I do, cause I don't wanna be harassed by some Cop with a small town attitude and an itch frigging finger. As always, Happy Trails, and don't get caught. J.B. :-))
