For the past 25 years, local authorities have installed a stop sign midway on this street which has as its only goal to catch motorists who do a rolling stop. There is no cross-road. Simply a stop light on a very quiet, but short-cut, street. Local police have two goals: (a) to train rookies on how to stop "traffic violators; and (b) to raise revenues for a very economically depressed small town.
