Service roads

Canton, TexasNov 18, 20104 Comments

Canton pd sits on service roads where its 30 mph. They also sit on I 20 ,they are out there all night. The troopers go home at midnight but Canton pd is there all night.

Comments:
This was where the Canton PD got me; be warned that they will tailgate your vehicle.

How come anyone who gets a ticket for speeding says its a speed trap. I guess every where anyone gets stopped at 20+ mph over is a speed trap. I drive I-20 from Van to Canton all the time, And from Canton to Lindale and very seldom see a cop. Then again I have traveled these routes and seen five of them. Still no one slows down. Texas roads are race tracks for most people and very few drive the posted speed limits so just call the state of Texas a speed trap. If I get a ticket its a speed trap I guess but I do at my best stay at the posted limit even in the dirty and nasty town of Canton Texas. I have no tickets in 30 years and pay nothing for Insurance so for the speeders out there, If you got the money drive like it.

If you plan to visit Canton Texas Trade days or spend your hard earned $$ there don't screw your day up at the start by exiting I-20 @ hwy 19 in Canton. You go from 75 mph. to 30 mph. in about 100 yards. Two hundred and twenty five dollars for this driver who had a clean record. Thirty miles an hour is for residential areas and SPEED TRAPS not a service road off I-20 .
