There is about a 20 mile section around Canton, Texas that the Texas State Troopers will run radar. There is never just one or two cars. Always four to six troopers
There is a 20 mile section east of Canton, Texas that Texas State Troopers run radar speed traps, it is Hwy 64 east of Canton, it starts at Hwy 16 and goes east to the county line.
The trap is on the east bound side of I-20. Just east of the Highway 19 bridge at the end of the entrance ramp is where a State Trooper sits from time to time. The speed limit is 70 in the day and 65 at night. So becareful when passing by Canton. There is a trooper there at least once a day.
On interstate 20 in Canton where the construction has the highway down to one lane of traffic on either side–many times I have seen officers waiting on the service road to bust the cars that decide that the line of traffic is too long to wait in and so they cross the grass to get onto the service road to bypass traffic. The cop stands on the road outside of his car and just points to the cars to pull over. When he gets a nice long line of cars pulled over he starts handing out the tickets and starts over again. Not really a speed trap, but useful info.
