South Fulton Parkway from Palmetto to Rivertown

They are not doing this for safety they’re purely out to get all the money they can take from workers traveling this wide open Hwy. I have seen them write hundred’s!! of tickets in the last two years. I have always argued with my two younger brothers that if you’re not really doing anything wrong they won’t bother you. The young one won’t hardly talk to me now because I didn’t believe that he wasn’t doing anything wrong . I’m not mad about one of the tickets he gave me, I was speeding. It was the way he talked to me like I was a stupid, dumb piece of dirt or something — that hurt the most. I lost my CDL for sixty days because he wouldn’t lower from 70 to 69 mph. and I am about to lose my insurance due to high cost. I guess I ‘ll be eating a lot of crow the rest of my life. Thanks Chattahoochee Hills Country Police for giving me something in common with my two younger brothers. I used to think they were out to help people. I now know all they want is your Money.

How is it that getting a ticket for going 70 in a 55 makes it a speed trap? If you look at the Chatt Hills revenues on line, you can see that speeding tickets make up less than 10% of their budget - well under the level that this website considers to be a 'trap'. It's a new city, sure, but they haven't changed any speed limits from what GaDOT originally had. Yes, it used to be an enforcement free zone (other than the occasional State Highway Patrol), but it's the fact that there is now some enforcement doesn't make it a speed trap. Don't want a ticket? Keep it under 15 above the speed limit... Want to go faster? Fine, but don't pretend that your ticket is anything other than a speeding toll...
