South Park Boulevard near between 154th – 162nd Street

South Holland, IllinoisOct 15, 20072 Comments

Driving between 154th and 162nd on South Park Blvd, the limit is 30mph. This is a fairly open road, and it is easy to get caught doing over 40mph. My husband was clocked at 45, pulled over and ticketed. Before/after 154th/162nd, the limit is 35, which is another reason it’s also easy to get caught going over the limit in this zone. Be very careful driving along this strip; there are always police officers with radars sitting off to the side on the cross streets.

Comments:
You must not be able to read. The whole street is 30mph. Then after 162nd which is a major intersection the limit goes up to 35. everything north of there is 30mph, even well after 154th.

First, it is South Park Ave not Blvd. Secondly, it is a residential neighborhood. I lived on South Park at 160th street for 17 years and people like to fly there. Slow down, obey the speed limits, and you'll have no problem. 45 in a 30 is 15 over the limit and he deserves a ticket.
