State Highway 126

Fillmore, CaliforniaMay 28, 20092 Comments

When heading eastbound on HWY 126 out of Fillmore, a motorcycle officer parks in the entrance of the senior mobile home park just outside of town where the speed limit is still 45 mph but less than 300 yards from where the speed limit increases to 60 mph. If you speed up too soon when heading out of town or don’t slow down quick enough while heading into town, you will get pulled over.

Comments:
Hwy 126 East of Fillmore, CA. Yes a motorcyle patrolman sits at the gate to our mobile home park. The speed limit is still 45 at that point and Doesnot increase to 60 300 yards down the roard but 50 and then 55 until almost to Piru Junction 8 miles away. You are still in the city limits until you cross the railroad tracks. He, the patrolman, only gets about 1 in a thousand anyway. Bye the way I live in the mobile home park and do like to get out once in a while.

I believe that 350 dollars is harsh for the fine. It is unfortunate that Fillmore sits right in the middle of the 126 hwy. There are fatal accidents everywhere. The 126 hwy. is a main thoroughfare the speed limit should post a little higher. Now don't be angry but maybe there should be a business section loop and a highway loop built. This is done all across America, for the convenience and safety of everyone.
