State Highway 13 South

Mamou, LouisianaMay 19, 20092 Comments

I didn’t know why I was being stopped, the speed limit was
60 MPH, cop told me it went down to 45 on a corner that I
came around. He gave a 59 in a 45, the ticket is going to cost
$ 174. A real money making machine!

Comments:
There is no regular 2 lane highway in Louisiana where the speed limit is 60mph, so therefore anyone doing 60 mph is consider speeding. All 2 lane highways in the state of Louisiana is 55 mph considering if there is construction going on. People who think they actually know the law. Actually in the Town Of Mamou there is 3 signs advising you that the state highway speed will be changing up ahead. So Maybe just maybe if the signs in front of people would not be ignored because they are too worried about the cell phone or actually getting home because they had a rough day at work they would not actually get a citation for speeding.

The speed limit is NOT a suggestion. And its POSTED therefore NOT a trap. Just pay attention...or a ticket.
