State Highway 6 near State Highway 6
Speed trap is on both sides of the town. The speed limit is reduced to 55 before the city limit/also meaning 55 leaving the city outside of the city limit. This is done to catch travelers that are outside of the city thinking they are outside of a speed limit zone. Crazy.

The Texas Department of Transportation sets the speed limits, not the local government. You need to ask them "why this is done"
