State Highway 6, South of Waco

The lowered speed limits extend far beyond the boundaries of the populated area. The 45 mile-an-hour speed limit sign in the north bound lanes appear just over a hill. That limit continues through the most populated part of this VERY small town. The returbn to 55 mile an hour speed limit continues in the north bound lane for a long way past the populated area. The speed limit returns to 70 LONG only after the populated of the town of Riesel has disappeared from a rear view mirror. In area CDL classes Riesel is at the top of the “watch out for list.”””

Comments:
The 55 mile per hour speed limit may run past the populated area but it is still in the city limits. Just watch the signs. That's why they are there. Drivers should pay attention to the road signs. Be safe, be careful.

That's the sad thing, and why so many people have posted about such a tiny, tiny place. I think you can still be safe, be careful, and observe the speed limits, or at least honestly be trying to in time, and still get huge tickets here regardless.
