Yes, this IS a well-known speed trap in Villa Rica. I was tagged in this area and pulled over within sight of the 55 mph speed zone sign just down the road on Hwy 78 W. I was going 55 mph. When I asked the officer where the 55 mph zone began he pointed to the sign.
Later I sent letters of protest to Villa Rica businesses I have withdrawn my patronage from because of the aggressive nature of the Villa Rica City police.
My question is if you have not yet got to the 55 mph sign then why would you be going 55? If you were checked in a 35 mph zone and you were going 55 mph who is at fault? You might want to check your speed.
