State Highway Lowell Connector near Exit Number 4 Plain St. Lowell Highlands
A Lowell police officer usually pulls his/her cruiser off the road, hiding behind the guardrail, just before exit 4. The connector slopes up and then slopes down – the cruiser is usually in the middle of the slope down hiding. The officer stands outside and RADAR/LIDAR oncomming cars as they come over the hill and dont have enough reaction time to slow down. In the day, the officer directs them to pull over. At night, his partner will fly up after you and pull you over. The speed limit is 55mph however must people do about 65-70. Also state police sit on the roads with their lights off (at night). Usually an imapala, ford contour or a unmarked unit. Also, state and local police drive up and down the connector routinely because of the recent deaths caused by speed.
