State Road near Broad Boulevard

Cuyahoga Falls, OhioOct 23, 20071 Comments

It’s always a bad idea to speed anywhere in Cuyahoga Falls but anywhere on State Road is very bad. This is a fairly four-lane street that is 25 mph from Graham Road at the north end, all the way to Akron at the south end. Police presence is heavy on this street which should be 35 for its entire length.

Comments:
The speed limit in this area conforms to the requirements of the Ohio Revised Code. From the southern city limits, at the high-level bridge, to the Graham Road intersection, it is zoned commercial, with perhaps 5% being residential usage via apartments. Further north it becomes 35 and then 45 until reaching the northernmost city limits. Depending upon the time of day, it is a high traffic area, and is saturated with closely spaced driveways accessing local business. It is a dangerous piece of roadway at all times for the inattentive motorist.
