State Route 12

Fenton, LouisianaJun 25, 20072 Comments

Unmarked blue crown victoria usually sitting by the grain elevators to the south of town. This route goes towards the Coushatta Casino. He is waiting to take a little of that revenue for this tiny town.

Comments:
Yes this officer does sit there but why don't you tell the whole story. He sits behind the third set of 50 signs in the wide open, so don't complain that it is a speed trap when you don't want to give all of the information.

I recently received a ticket from the Villiage of Fenton. The officer was not behind the third set of 50 mph signs. He was stationed by the 1st 50 mph sign. These signs are very close together. I saw the 2nd sign and immediately slowed to 50 mph and kept my speed between 45 and 50. About a mile down the road I was stopped and given the ticket. I was not asked for registration or proof of insurance. The make and model of my vehicle were also not correctly identified on the ticket. I used to be of the opinion that speed traps didn't exist. If someone is speeding then they are speeding. I now understand what it is like to be the victim of a speed trap. It leaves a bitter taste especially when you take pride in being a law abiding citizen and alway do your best to pay attention to speed limits. This is the Whole Story.
