State Route 57 near Shawnee College Road

Driving through this area in the morning and the evening on the 28th of November, there were at least 10 officers at both times of day either positioned to give tickets or already pulling people over as I drove through. They enforce a 65 MPH speed limit much tighter than any area noth of there. The officer told me he pulls over anyone going over 70. In my case, the insurance card I had in my car expired one month ago (I have the new card but it wasn’t in my car yet). Now I have to go to court (5 hour drive each way) and have been told by a local attorney that the court costs alone are at least $260! That does not include arttorney fees if I choose not to drive that far. This is an obvious attempt to get money into the coffers of a small town without taxing the locals.
