State Route 79 near Construction Road
CHP uses hand held Lidar out of the window of cruiser. If you are headed North on SR79 going to Hemet, CHP is parked on "Construction Rd." (This road is closed to through traffic and makes this location ideal for him). As you approach his location at "Construction" the Hwy turns from one lane of traffic to two lanes for passing and he is just waiting for you to hit the accelerator to pass!

The actual corner is CALIFORNIA AVE. and STATE HWY 79! This has been a speed trap for years! Hemet PD in the morning especially, has a 2 motorcycle cops stationed at this corner with radar!
The previous commenter is talking about a completely different intersection. Construction Road is at the west end of Diamond Valley Lake and intersections with SR-79 (Winchester Road).
