Hemet, California Speed Traps
Going West on Florida Ave right after Sanderson the speed changes to 35mph and the speed limit sign is easily overlooked located on the far right. Highway Patrol sit on the right side by the Hampton Inn and issues tickets for 52 to 53 mph. Strange that most tickets in Hemet and San Jacinto are for 52 or 53 mph. Most of my family and friends all received tickets for 52 or 53 mph and all except one said they were going slower.
When traveling southbound on State St, speed changes from 45 to 35 at signal light. The sign is hidden behind the cross walk signal box on the right-hand side.
Officers will hide in many locations on the way between the two cities. The highway was 55mph, dropped to 45mph due to lack of much needed improvements as population had grown, and appears they plan to make it a financial windfall. Beware!
police car is either on the side of the road or tucked away on a side Street.
