Steeles Ave West Bound at Rutherford Road
Not a Speed Trap – but a cell phone & seat belt check.
Police stand on the corner with bincolars looking for people without seat belts & on the cell phone. They also check cars as the come to a stop at the lights.
Vechiles turning north from Steeles Ave on to Rutherford also checked.
They pull vechiles over into the parking lot in the North East corner. Have seen as many as 7 to 8 police and 3 to 4 cruisers. They at one time had vechiles lined up in the parking lot.

I totally agree with your comment, in the earlier part of summer a friend driving from hwy 410 North bound exited onto Steeles sure enough the police were waiting they were not wearing seat belts and the car was pulled from the road for mechanical problems unsure about the problems.
