Stretch of highway with a bridge and a downward hill
I was pulled over and cited for speeding 74 in a 70. Despite going slower than the flow of traffic, I was pulled over and accused of racing another vehicle – a vehicle that I didn’t even remember existing when the officer mentioned it. The officer was extremely aggressive towards me. I have NEVER had a speeding ticket and always use my signals and stay mindful of the speed limit and how fast traffic near me is travelling.
During my trip on that day, I witnessed no fewer than 10 active traffic stops within the same short stretch of highway. It is clear that Crisp County GA is still farming revenue by harassing drivers who are travelling safely.
Myself and my peers travel all over the country and regularly spend thousands of dollars at hotels and local businesses. The ticket, which cost me just shy of $300, has now cost the state of Georgia tens of thousands of dollars in lost revenue – because myself and my club members will no longer be holding or attending events in the state, nor spending money at any of its businesses.
