Sudley / RT 234 Road near State Highway US 29
Taking 234 away from Manassas, after you pass under I-66 the limit drops to 35 and stays that way. The road really opens up after you pass 29, but for an unknown reason you have to travel pretty far before the limit goes up to 50. Cops like to sit in the Battlefield parking lot and fry people coming over the hill; worst time is Sunday mornings when the road is empty. They can’t do a thing when you’re in a pack of people going 65 because it’s a two lane road, but they’ll get you when it’s empty. Be careful, guys.

On VA-234 just north of US-29 there is a Battlefield Park Parking area on the east side of the road. There are blind turns both to the north and south of the parking lot. The speed limit is an oppressive 35 (two lane rural highway) and both Prince William County and the US Park Service love this trap. Weekends any time, and during the week in the early afternoon they are often there. Cop directs "offending vehicles" into the lot and they process tickets "en masse".
