US Highway 101 near Rincon Beach
This stretch of freeway is a notorius speed trap. I’ve received three tickets along this stretch of 101 over the years.

This speedtrap is designed for drivers who have become accustomed to the GENERALLY police free wide open 12 mile freeway between ventura and carpinteria and forget they are not on the autobahn. The police wait under the Bailard overpass and pull over speeders (80mph+) off the Casitas Pass exit - there are cars being ticketed hourly. And this is directly over the Santa Barbara county line, so its like fishing with dynamite, they dont even have to try.
