US Highway 19 near Tarpon Avenue Street

Tarpon Springs, FloridaApr 20, 20040 Comments

The typical enforcement here will be the Tarpon Springs Police, but Pinellas County Sheriff also lurk in this area – making it double trouble.

Recognizing this trap is easy, even for non-residents. While travelling Northbound on US19 toward the Pasco county line, you will cross the intersection with Tarpon Avenue. You will then begin to ascend a mellow hill – Look to the grassy center divider! In the center divider at the top of this mellow hill you will notice the cement divider ends. The police love to hang out here. You might think thet would be easy to see out in the open on a hill, but with the busy flow traffic on US19, its real easy to not pay attention here. But just in case you do get pinched; just a quarter mile down the backside of this hill you’ll cross a divided bridge, and B21 will be to your left – a great place to get a drink and burn off that residual anger you’re harboring over your speeding ticket.

And remember – always check those mirrors.
