CHP sits on Eastbound entrance ramp from Bass Lake Road and shoots cars from behind. The ramp is below grade, so you cannot see the trap until you pass. The trap is at the top of a long hill (Bass Lake grade), so the intent seems to be to catch drivers who got their foot in it going up the slope and are now speeding into the flat section of the highway. Have observed steady Ka band but not instant on. Others please comment if you have seen instant on.
