Cameron Park, California Speed Traps
Cambridge Road & Country Club Drive
CHP sits just to the West of intersection on Country Club Drive. Going South on Cambridge, you can’t see CHP because of bushes at intersection.
Stop sign at country club Dr and Rustic Rd intersection
Along Country Club Dr, between Cambridge Rd and Cameron Park Dr, there is a stop sign where Rustic Rd meets Country Club Dr. You cannot see the road, as it is hidden around the turn and behind the "walls" that are dug into the hill for the road. You will know you are there because it is the only stop sign on this section of Country Club Dr. This is not exactly a speed trap, but the cop is almost always there waiting for someone to run the stop, and he well definitely catch you by surprise.
Bass Lake Rd.
A police car parks in the parking lot of the Green Valley Elementary school. They park just behind a tree, where you can’t see them in time whether you’re coming from the Green Valley or 50 direction. They usually are there to get speeders and people that run the stop sign. I lived in those apartments across the street; if we were bored, we would just go on our patio and watch people get pulled over.
US Highway 50 near Exit Number 32
CHP sits on Eastbound entrance ramp from Bass Lake Road and shoots cars from behind. The ramp is below grade, so you cannot see the trap until you pass. The trap is at the top of a long hill (Bass Lake grade), so the intent seems to be to catch drivers who got their foot in it going up the slope and are now speeding into the flat section of the highway. Have observed steady Ka band but not instant on. Others please comment if you have seen instant on.
Oxford Drive near Connecting Cambridge and Cameron Park Drive Drive
A motorcycle cop sits n the driveway right before Salida and uses a radar gun to catch speeders. Its a 25mph but its easy to go 45mph
