Highway 57 East City limits. After crossing over the railroad overpass going out of town the roadway goes downhill toward the city limits. To stay under 40mph one must ride his brakes. The officer followed me until I started down the hill and when I reached 52 just before I reached city limits he pulled me over. At this time I thought I was Out of town so I thought I was obeying the speed limit. They were stopping people entering town after coming down a hill to enter town. They were caught coasting into the city. This stretch of highway of about half mile has only one driveway. The stopping zone officers use is on a hill and in a curve. This endangers flowing traffic as well as those pulled over as well as the officer issuing the citation. This is more dangerous than letting traffic travel at 55mph. This raises the question. Are they there to serve and protect or just raise revenue. I believe the latter to be true!
