US Highway 62 near ANGUS Street

Going west from fayetteville on HWY 62 just past Church Street theres a 40 mile an hour sign, then a yellow flashing light(this light pertains to the cross walk a few yards ahead).About 30 yards futher is a small sign that reads 25 miles per hour when childern are present,15 yards later is the school enterance where the police set and pulls the last car in the group over for speeding in what other wise is a 40 mile an hour highway. The excessive drop in speed is more of a hazard to motorist and childern than the 40 miles per hour. School zones should be safty zones ,i agree but the speed limit signs need to be far enough away to allow the motorist time to slow down and not just 15 to 20 yards from the school enterance. And enforced only when children are present ,not when revenue is low.

Comments:
Well I hate to burst your bubble but the state law requires only 300 feet from either side of the school for the school zone, the terrible man eater cops have zero input in where and how that zone is set, slow down or get caught, or talk to your state representative
