Traveling toward Farmington from Wedington, police sit in area on the left just after crossing the Farmington City limits sign. High grass does not allow you to see them until you are right up on them. The second place they sit is at the base of the hill on a side personal drive way on the left. As you drive north, the speed limit changes from 20 mph near the school to 25 mph as you hit the top of the hill. If you don’t ride your brake you will exceed the 25 mph limit and you may be greeted at the bottom.

Hwy 62 west of Farmington

On Hwy 62 between Prairie Grove and Farmington. Coming from Prairie Grove, once you see the 45mph speed sign, you are in a speed trap area, just like the one on Dbl Springs Rd. They are building AGAIN, look at city hall, and have grand aspirations for the future, so prepare to shell out the money.

Double Springs Road near Goose Creek Road

Road is in area that was very rural, but rapid growth is adding more traffic. City has expanded boundaries and reduced the past 45 mph county speed limit to 25-30 mph. Watch close, because it changes quick. Wife got ticket going up hill after taking off from intersection. She didn’t even get up to the posted speed limit and was hit with blue lights.

US Highway 62 near ANGUS Street

Going west from fayetteville on HWY 62 just past Church Street theres a 40 mile an hour sign, then a yellow flashing light(this light pertains to the cross walk a few yards ahead).About 30 yards futher is a small sign that reads 25 miles per hour when childern are present,15 yards later is the school enterance where the police set and pulls the last car in the group over for speeding in what other wise is a 40 mile an hour highway. The excessive drop in speed is more of a hazard to motorist and childern than the 40 miles per hour. School zones should be safty zones ,i agree but the speed limit signs need to be far enough away to allow the motorist time to slow down and not just 15 to 20 yards from the school enterance. And enforced only when children are present ,not when revenue is low.
