Washington Place Street near State Highway Route 130

Police cruisers will often park in the entrance to the parking and boat ramp area of Farrington Lake, immediately past Sir John’s restaurant if coming from Route 130. They use radar and shoot towards Route 130, never the other way. The speed limit in this area is 35 mph. I often fish Farrington Lake and have seen them at all times of the day, from early morning until rush hour. (I am never there later than rush hour so I don’t know if they use this spot at night.)

Also, the speed limit drops to 25 mph a few hundred yards past this point at the intersection of the turn to Hardenburg Lane. I have seen the cruisers sit farther back and not use radar, then follow cars and ticket them when they did not slow to 25 mph. When leaving, I’ve come across them ticketing vehicles with feet of the 25 mph sign.
